Our Malaysian Police should undergo this type of training.
“It makes our people think about morality, ethics, and how to maintain those during turbulent times.”
Supervisory Special Agent Douglas B. Merel
FBI Training Division
Before becoming special agents, students from the FBI Training Academy tour the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This is the 10th year the FBI has participated in the Law Enforcement and Society program, jointly run by the museum and the Anti-Defamation League.
“The purpose of the program is actually not to compare law enforcement in America today to police under the Nazis, but rather to contrast them. The program highlights the importance of law enforcement as protectors of all people and the Constitution to the safeguarding of our democracy.”

Every year, the FBI Training Academy graduates about 1,000 new special agents following 20 weeks of intense preparation. In countless tactical and analytical scenarios, the trainees learn how to respond appropriately under the most trying conditions.
But there is also a rigorous moral and ethical component to the training. In a poignant culmination of 21 hours spent defining the line between right and wrong, all new agents are escorted through the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. to see in horrific detail what can happen when law enforcement loses sight of what is right. The program—called Law Enforcement and Society: Lessons of the Holocaust—is a joint partnership between the Anti-Defamation League and the museum.
The Anti-Defamation League's Elise Jarvis leads a new-agent class in a discussion of core values.
“It makes our people think about morality, ethics, and how to maintain those during turbulent times,” said Special Agent Douglas B. Merel, who teaches the Academy’s ethical leadership course for new agents that includes the museum program. “It shows how important it is for law enforcement to maintain their core values.”
In one visit on a recent Friday morning, about 50 agents-to-be filed into the museum. Over the next four hours they toured the exhibits—led in some cases by Holocaust survivors—and discussed what separates them from the law enforcement officers in Germany who were systematically co-opted by the Nazis.
In a museum conference room, Elise Jarvis, associate director of Law Enforcement Outreach for the Anti-Defamation League, whose mission is in part to secure justice and fair treatment for all citizens, is purposefully blunt in her line of questions. “So the question I’m putting out there is: What makes you different?” Jarvis asked the class. “What, at the end of the day, is going to keep you all anchored? What keeps you from sliding down that slippery slope? What keeps you from abusing your power?”
As answers bubble up—the Constitution, personal morals, compassion, laws—instructors challenge the students to support and defend their positions.
“It’s really our hope that the law enforcement officers who come to the museum see this program, see this history, and really reflect on their professional core values and their role in society today,” said Marcus A. Appelbaum, who coordinates the museum’s community and leadership programs.
The law enforcement program was developed in 1999 after D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Charles Ramsey toured the museum and recognized the value of teaching trainees
about law enforcement’s integral role in the Nazis’ rise to power. In 2000, then-FBI Director Louis Freeh incorporated the tour into the Bureau’s new agent training. In 2005, Director Robert S. Mueller said the training has never been more relevant. "At a time when law enforcement must be aggressive in stopping terror, these classes provide powerful lessons on why we must always protect civil rights and uphold the rule of law," he said.
More than 60,000 law enforcement professionals—including about 10,000 new FBI agents and analysts—have gone through the program. This is the 10th year of the FBI’s participation. Members of the recent new agent class said the experience really brought home their new responsibility.
“They did an excellent job of showing how the law enforcement in Nazi society was complicit,” said Lucas, a new special agent, after the program’s conclusion. “It’s important to try to be aware of all the circumstances around you and make sure nothing's crossing the lines, and remember why we’re really here.”

My version is better than yours part 10: Big Secret vs. Jacki Baaron –It’s on My Mind
Big Secret – King Kong/It’s on my Mind –Finger 2046 038 (1973 Ger)
Jacki Baaron – King Kong/It’s on my Mind –Poplandia P-30569 (1973 Portuguese issue)
Based on the first nano seconds of spinning the Big Secret version, you could be fooled into thinking that you were listening to a demo of Holidays In The Sun...but no, the guitar then goes off on a tangent, the beat kicks in and the track turns into a mighty fine T.Rex-type tune where an organ swells behind snazzy female lead vocals. Regardless of your cover girl preference; there’s no denying the obvious fact that Enri and July win hands down sonically. The Big Secret mix is clearer, the reverb on the guitar and drums more potent and the separation works well...plus the vocals hit the spot whereas Jacki sounds somewhat deflated.
Both the A and B side backing tracks are identical and from the same production team,. So what was the big idea? King Kong was Big Secret’s follow up to the superb Ride Captain Ride. The girls were well implanted in Germany with their Les Humphries Singers TV appearances which was as good a springboard as any to solo continental success.
I don’t know who Jacki Baaron was, but she may have been Spanish. Perhaps it was felt in some quarters that mini-skirted dancing Pilipino girls wouldn’t maximise a single’s potential across all territories?

See the actual Folded Verse T-shirts...and at least 400 more works at Pameran Poskad 2010!
The Chinese text "所羅門的衣,不如百合花" is our Chinese couplet for Jesus' teaching to not worry - "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these" (Matthew, 6:28-29). We made 2 or 3 folds on the tee before each character was painted. Read more here.
The show's on at "My Art Space" (Level 4, 21 Tanjong Pagar Road, beside the Maxwell Rd Food Centre) from 18 April to 1 May. There's an opening party on 17 April, 6-9pm; and a preview for eager beavers (well, they can try to spot those works by the established artists) on the same day at 3pm.
p/s - Drop us a note at info@ampulets.com if you are interested in any of the 10 tees. They are soft 100% cotton. The 所,羅,門,的,衣 and 不 are on Muji Men L-sized T-shirts chest 38-40". The 如,百,合 and 花 are on TopShop XXSmall-sized T-shirts, chest 32-34" for women or very very skinny boys. Each tee comes packed with its own postcard-sized image.
Kardashian sex tape ruins her love life
Baseballer Reggie Bush reportedly ended his relationship with reality show star Kim Kardashian because he was not happy with the sex tape she made with ex-boyfriend Ray J.
"Reggie's mom just could not get over the fact that Kim had a sex tape. Reggie and his family are very conservative, and he told Kim that a marriage is never going to happen between them because of the tape," contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying.
Kardashian is said to be regretting the video more than ever now. She feels she would still be with Reggie, if it had never been made public.
"She's still crazy about him. If she didn't have the sex tape, she could have been Mrs. Bush," source added.
Reggie and Kim's separation came less than a month after the couple, who had been dating for almost three years, reportedly bought a $4.8 million love nest together in Beverly Hills.

Committing Oral Sex Is Not Against Malaysian Law
By Admin
Police have investigated MCA President Chua Soi Lek for oral sex, considered carnal intercourse against the order of nature, based on footage from his sex DVD scandal two years ago. According to news reports, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Hasnan Hassan said that police were investigating the sex DVD under section 377(A) of the Penal Code.
Not only will the police be going after those who circulated the tape, but they may also charge Soi Lek, who if found guilty can be jailed for up to 20 years.
The sex scandal resurfaced on Feb 10, 2009 after a Kelana Jaya resident claimed that an envelope containing the DVD and a letter was placed in his mailbox. The letter instructed the recipient to lodge a police report after watching the video. The video, featured Soi Lek and a woman having sex in a hotel suite.
Upon watching the DVD, the resident realised that the DVD was a pornographic video and proceeded to make the police report. Chua had given a statement at the district police headquarters at Petaling Jaya and told investigators that the video is the same as the one that surfaced previously. In January 2008, the former Labis MP admitted to being the man in a sex video and resigned from all political posts.
It is rather strange that the Police were swift to act against Leader of the Opposition YB Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is charged with sodomy, which by definition is considered as carnal intercourse against the order of nature just like the blow job Tiger Chua got from his lady friend but until now Tiger Chua has yet to be charged. Unlike Tiger Chua's sex DVD scandal, there's not even an iota of evidence to proof that DSAI committed sodomy as claimed by Saiful Bukhari.
The Scribe calls upon the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), The Inspector General of Police and the Home Minister to institute criminal proceedings against Chua Soi Lek for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature. Failing which, it shall be construed that committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature is not against Malaysian law and all those accused and charged of committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature shall have their charges dropped with immediate effect.

The rats in UMNO
By Krishna Singh
A tourist walked into a Brighton curio/antique shop in the UK
After looking around for a while, he noticed a very life-like bronze statue of a rat.
It had no price tag, but it was so striking that he decided to buy it anyway.
He took it to the owner and said: 'How much is this bronze rat?'
The owner replied: 'It's £12 for the rat, and £100 for the story.'
The tourist gave the owner his £12 and said: 'I'll just take the rat, you can keep the story.'
As he walked off down the street, he noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the sewers and begun following him.
This was a little disconcerting, so he started to walk a little faster, but within a couple of blocks the swarm of rats had grown to hundreds, and they were all squealing and screeching in a very menacing way.
He increased his speed & ran on towards the beach, and as he ran, he looked behind him and saw the rats now numbered in their MILLIONS, and they were running faster & faster.
By now very concerned, he ran down to the pier and threw the bronze rat far out into the water.
Amazingly, the millions of real rats jumped into the water after it and were all drowned.
The man walked back to relate all this to the shop owner, who said: 'Ah, you've come back for the story then?'
'No,' said the tourist,
'I came back to see if you've got a bronze Malaysian UMNO Politician....
