Justin Duchscherer came through his first spring start on Tuesday with no problems, and manager Buck Showalter said Wednesday the plan is for the right-hander to pitch three innings in Sunday's intrasquad game.
Duchscherer said after Tuesday's start that he is encouraged by how his hip is feeling better with each outing, and he admitted it is also a matter of mentally getting back to just focusing on his mechanics and not his health. He tossed two scoreless innings against the Phillies in his start, allowing a double and a walk.

Australia Cricket Team Profile:

http://cranktime.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Australia-vs-England-6th-ODI1.jpg

One of the oldest Test and ODI playing nation in international cricket, Australia gave a hint of their perfect professional approach to cricket right in the beginning when they started playing Test matches with England in 1882.
Australians rule the game of cricket and have ferociously guarded their number one position in ICC rankings be it Tests or ODIs.

Australian team consists of bowling vigour of Glenn McGrath, batting zeal of Adam Gilchrist and astonishing captaincy of Ricky Ponting, making it the best cricket playing team ever. Australia’s unmatchable domestic base and an impervious bench strength always keep the playing 11 on their toes and thus comes the best out of them.

Australian cricket team’s USP is its high spirit, self confidence and never say die attitude.

Time,

31-01-2011 from 01:00 until 05:00

Main Event :: The 2011 Pro Bowl - NFL's annual All-Star Game , Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, Hawaii
The Cowboys' Romo, replacing Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, will be making his third appearance and McNabb his sixth. McNabb was named in place of quarterback Drew Brees, who led the Saints past the Vikings on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game.

The Cowboys' nine players will also include first-time Pro Bowl cornerback Mike Jenkins, who will fill in for the Vikings' Antoine Winfield. Romo set Cowboys single-season records with 4,483 passing yards, 347 completions, 550 attempts and eight 300-yard games.

The Philadelphia Eagles will also be taking nine players to this year's game, including McNabb and safety Quintin Mikell, who was added Monday.

This year's Pro Bowl is being held Sunday, a week before the Super Bowl, rather than after the end of the season as in years past.

2010 NFL Pro Bowl

The Pro Bowl will be played before the Super Bowl for the first time Sunday at Miami's Sun Life Stadium, home of Super Bowl XLIV. Coverage | Rosters

Other additions include:

Mathis is unable to play in the NFL's all-star game in Miami on Sunday because he'll be preparing for the Super Bowl against New Orleans the following week. Mathis is one of seven Colts players being replaced on the Pro Bowl roster.
Ellis will play in his second Pro Bowl, and first since the 2003 season, despite having a broken left hand that requires surgery.
Ellis had 6 1/2 sacks during the regular season and ranks third in franchise history with 68 sacks. He joins cornerback Darrelle Revis, left guard Alan Faneca, center Nick Mangold and left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson as Jets in the Pro Bowl.
Mikell, who joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State, replaces the Saints' Darren Sharper. It is Mikell's first Pro Bowl nod.
Garrard, who passed for 3,597 yards, with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions with a 60.9 completion percentage in 2009, will replace Peyton Manning as a backup. Garrard joins Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew on the AFC's roster.
Vanden Bosch, who had three sacks and 44 tackles this season, was named to his third Pro Bowl, and Ellis to his second, as Colts defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis won't be available.
Titans running back Chris Johnson, quarterback Vince Young and center Kevin Mawae have also been selected.
Miller will replace Colts tight end Dallas Clark, and Fletcher will be added in place of Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma.
Miller and Fletcher will be making their first Pro Bowl appearances.
Miller set career highs with 76 receptions and 789 yards for Pittsburgh this season. Fletcher had 95 tackles and two sacks.
Miller joins defensive tackle Casey Hamp

Fletcher said he "did a little sprinting around the house" when the Saints kicked an overtime field goal Sunday to beat Minnesota.
Fletcher is the league's most prolific tackler over the past decade and has never missed a game in his 12-year career.
He was upset when he wasn't selected last season, calling himself "the Susan Lucci of the NFL," a reference to the soap opera star who was nominated 18 times for an Emmy before finally winning.
Knox, who is replacing the Minnesota Vikings' Percy Harvin, will be listed officially as a kick returner. It will be up to the coaching staff to decide if he'll see any action at wide receiver.
The last Bears rookie to make the Pro Bowl was return specialist Devin Hester after the 2006 season.
Knox caught 45 passes for 527 yards and five touchdowns, but he was more dangerous returning kickoffs. He racked up 927 yards, including a 102-yard score versus Detroit on Oct. 4.

top ten batsman of now days watch them on line tv

 http://community.dreamcricket.com/community/blogs/page3/LeeFurlongShaneWatson.jpg

t's time to give Shane Watson his due. Plain as day he is one of the most valuable cricketers in theworld. His performances in Test, 50-over and Twenty20 cricket leave no room for argument. Australia could hardly manage without him. Few batsmen hit the ball harder or straighter; few present as broad a bat or accept as much responsibility. He might not be Jacques Kallis, but he belongs on the next rung.
Watson straps on his pads and faces the first ball of a Test match, seizes the initiative in the shorter capers, stands at first slip ready to snaffle edges and grabs the ball when the runs are flowing and as often as not picks up a wicket. Hardly a day, let alone entire match, goes by without him contributing something.
If any reservations were held about his calibre then they were surely demolished by his blistering, butchering innings at the MCG. Watson won the match off his own bat. After years of wariness, too, local supporters eager for a genuine champion roared him on. In the past he merely looked like Hercules. Now he played like him.
In so many ways it was a breakthrough innings. In some ways it was his finest hour. Even more importantly, it was his match. It's no small thing to determine the outcome of a hotly contested match featuring 22 highly trained players.
And his timing was significant. Australia had been bashed around and were in urgent need of uplift. Already Watson had bowled eight tidy overs in a desperate, proud, vain attempt to stem the flow. Who can say what goes through a man's mind? At times he cut an isolated figure on the field. Perhaps he was contemplating the carnage around him or the suffering in his home town or steeling himself to lead the fightback.
It has been an astonishing transformation for a substantial cricketer long patronised as a crock then as a bits-and-pieces all-rounder and more recently as a part-time opener. Of course, Watson is none of the above. Certainly his injuries are things of the past. Once his second bed, the physio's table lies empty, and has done so since he reduced his gym work. Even that was not an expression of vanity but desperation. Others might care about biceps and calendars; he wanted to prove his worth as a cricketer and thought muscles might help. As it turned out they were a mixed blessing.
Nor is he any longer a bits-and-pieces player, all promise and no performance. If he is not quite an all-rounder it is only because he could not command a place as a bowler. Over the generations barely a handful of cricketers have counted among the best six batsmen and five flingers in their countries. Watson is good enough to add balance to an attack. In certain conditions, too, he grows horns. But bowling is an extra; it's his batting that counts.
Nor can Watson any longer be regarded as an emergency opener. Admittedly he was pushed into the job but he took to it like a teenager to alcohol. Debate may rage about his best position but that says more about his overall value than the limitation of his batting. Indeed it is a compliment that various experts suggest that he could enter at first, second or fourth wicket down. The only surprise is that no one argues that he ought to also keep wicket.
Although Watson did not have an especially productive Ashes campaign, he did not let down his side either. Conditions were often tricky and the bowling was demanding. Even so he batted sturdily and effectively, His main weakness lay in his running between wickets. As with Zsa Zsa Gabor, it's a case of partners beware.
Previously his chief failing as a batsman was his tendency to lose his wicket in the 90s. It's not such a disastrous weakness. Nowadays it is true, he seems to peak in the 50s, in which regard he resembles Elvis Presley. Stamina and concentration have been blamed but perhaps it's simply a matter of breaking the habit. Both weaknesses indicate a sense of history. Watson tends to get relieved in the 50s and excited in the 90s, and both are dubious states of mind. However, Watto does usually take the shine off the ball and that is his primary task.
Plain as day he is Australia's best batsman, a point that raises fewer eyebrows these days. Most of all he hardly misses a match. Perhaps he's making up for lost time. Certainly he is enjoying his cricket. He has always wanted to command respect and know that he has earned it. Now he yearns for the next step, an important role in a successful team. His message at the MCG was clear. At once he was slaying England and decline

Yousuf told the media while playing a match of thenational one-day championship in Karachi for Lahore that hewas disappointed at not being picked for the one-day series inNew Zealand .

"I dont know what is the criteria of the selectors forselecting someone. I am in form and I am fit what more can Ido to convince them I should play for Pakistan," Yousuf said.

The national selectors did not consider him for the ODIsin New Zealand but have named in the preliminary list of 30players for the World Cup.

But sources close to the selectors say that they are notconvinced that Yousuf is 100 percent match fit for a majortournament like the World Cup.

But Yousuf, who scored 63 for Lahore on Sunday, said hewas match fit or would not be playing in domestic cricket.

"I had some problem with a strained muscle while touringUAE for the South Africa series but now I have made a completerecovery. An unfit batsman cannot take three and two runsregularly during his innings," he said while referring to hisinnings.

Yousuf said that at times he was so upset with theattitude of the selectors that he felt that he should neverhave come out of retirement.

"In Pakistan it has become like a ''Sunnat'' (good deed)for selectors to drop and sideline senior players who aretheir peak."

Yousuf, 36, who has twice announced retirements in hiscareer spanning 90 Tests and 288 ODIs, said he was battingwell and knew he could still serve Pakistan cricket.

"I just hope they give me a shot at the World Cup becauseI know I can do a lot this time for the team in thetournament. It has been my dream to win the World Cup," Yousufadded.

He said it was the ambition of every player to go outwith a bang and if he got a chance to play in the World Cup hewould definitely think seriously about calling it a day frominternational cricket.

The selectors included Yousuf in the World Cuppreliminary squad on the insistence of one-day captain, ShahidAfridi who believes that the senior batsman has a strong roleto play in the World Cup in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladeshfrom February 19.
