PHILADELPHIA – Following the Bruins’ morning skate on Monday in preparation for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Flyers, Boston forward Chris Kelly was talking with the media when teammate Brad Marchand interrupted and asked Kelly about a pimple on his forehead.

From Elias: The Bruins opened their second-round series against the Flyers with a 7-3 win in Philadelphia. The Bruins' seven goals were the most that they have ever scored when playing the first game of a playoff series on the road. Their previous high was six, last done at Montreal in 1992. They had not scored as many as seven goals in Game 1 of any playoff series since they beat the Sabres, 7-3, in the 1988 first-round opener at Boston Garden. Before Saturday, the Flyers had never allowed more than six goals in a playoff series opener, home or road. The four-goal margin of defeat matched their worst Game 1 loss (6-2 at home against the Rangers in 1986).
