Maria Sharapova, world no.14, will play in Open GDF SUEZ which will be held at Paris next week.
Sharapova, the Russian Glamorous Tennis superstar, will join her country mates Svetlana Kuznetsova, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Dinara Safina in the Fed Cup tie against France on 5th and 6th February, 2011.
After her return from the injury in December, Sharapova didn’t had a good start, where she was defeated in the second round of the ASB classic and after that in the 2011, she was defeated in straight sets against Andrea Petkovic (Ranked-30) by 6-2 6-3 in the 4th round of the Australian Open.
Sharapova, the former WTA No.1, three times grand slam winner, has announced that, she will next play the Open GDF Suez in Paris. This tour will be her first appearance at Open GDF Suez, which will be held in Paris from 7th of February, 2011, and will be played at indoor tennis courts and is a Premier $618K event.
