My New Haircut and a Sleepy Face!

Uggghhhhhhhhhhhhh, what a day I've had! It's been absolutely mad at work today and consequently, I'm exhausted. Thankfully, our office is closed from 3pm on Friday and I am booking myself in for some serious pampering to compensate and destress - yippee! Oh, and possibly do some long overdue Christmas shopping. Maybe...

So, I went to see the fantastic Adam at Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden and told him that I was thinking about a change. As happens when any hairdresser hears those magic words, his eyes lit up and he went for the jugular: 'what about a jaw length bob?' Hmm, I wasn't quite prepared for that much of a change, but he carried on with the persuasive talk and I started to wonder if I could abandon my plans to grow my hair long. Then, he started to scrape my hair off my face into a high ponytail and I asked the killer question: 'do you want to cut it all off?' 'That would be GREAT!' he replied. Eeeek! My compromise, however, was a promise to bob it next time, and in the interim, have a little fringe/bangs cut in, and here it is!

Look at that sleepy little face: go to bed, Rachel!

And here it is with the fringe swept to the side, for days when I'm feeling less 'edgy' (which, to be fair, is probably most days!)

Given that I've not coloured my hair for months and months and have been trying to grow it, it feels so great to have a little bit of change. I'm also really looking forward to the prospect of having it a lot shorter next time, and feel so pleased to have found such a fabulous hairdresser who I trust to always make my hair look its best. Who knows, maybe one day I'll go for that crop, but only after finishing the bottle of vodka he promised me!
