Yeah! What's so special abt this bloke Sheila Majid? Huh?
Yet got the nerve to celebrate 25th anniversary of her singing career?
What has she been so active in the singing industry lately? She's been staying silent (inactivity) for so long .... and suddenly reappear to create unnecessary gimmick of this anniversary celebration .....
Is it just because Datuk Siti Nurhaliza contemplating or celebrating her anniversary too (her 15th Anniversary) and this 'shorty' (small fry) won't be left behind too (the kiasu type). She'd feel so uneasy then .... make her feel so restless ..... So she make herself suddenly emerge out of her long silence trying to be in the crowd too.
Who cares?
And yet she was talking (in that tv interview) that she's been writing lyric for her new song....... and brag all the way that people who like her music ...... bla bla bla ...... Now talking about 'her music'? What is she bragging about 'her music'? As if she is a song composer who really create music .... not just writing lyric of song .... then she starts declaring as if she's a music-maker or creator of some sort - by mentioning abt 'my kind of music'. What the fuck? That shows this bloke doesn't really understand what music is? what lyric writer is - as compared to song composer? Yet she dares to say that people who like 'her music' bla bla bla ....... Hey stupid bum .... you're just a singer lar .... that does not mean that that is 'your kind of music'? When you don't create music .... how can you say that it's 'your kind of music'? You just sing the song only what?.... although you did mention that you wrote the lyric ....... and it doesn't make that .... you create the music. The music is created by the song composer .... then that's his music .... not yours .... stupid bum.
No singer can claim that whatever songs that they deliver is their own kind of music. Not even Datuk Siti Nurhaliza .... (when these singers who only just deliver the songs meant for them created by the composers/song writers) unless such singers like YUNA who create her own songs (compose and write (lyrics) and she's got that extra talent by being able to play musical instrument (guitar) during 'performing live on stage' .... then she can claim that's her kind of music that she created.
Of course BUT not to those like Sheila Majid or even Datuk Siti who can only deliver but without other extra talent as compared to Yuna or Aizat. Yes artists like Yuna and Aizat can claim having their own 'kind of music' since they really create their own songs as well as the music (melody), while Datuk Siti and Sheila only just mere singers ..... and sometimes they too can't deliver well & good of other people's songs. That they should admit.
Music & songs can be created without the need of singers (vocal functions). That's what people call 'instrumentals' .... i.e. songs without lyrics (therefore ... no need singer or singers). Orchestra music mostly synonim with delivery of instrumentals music play. That goes to 'Flamenco Music' too. You can listen to these kind of music without the need of vocals/singer to deliver. Yet they produce good and nice pieces to the ears. Even Santana can deliver well on their instrumental piece like Europa for instant. Therefore it all depends on the song composer who create the songs whether to make it with vocals presentation or just in its 'instrumental' form. So the singer here comes second .... since it's not the singer ..... IT'S THE SONG...... and therefore SONGS BELONG TO THE COMPOSER ...... NOT THE SINGER please (not as what most ppl or fans of the singer all this while thought)
Always the case ..... small people always talk big ..... trying to show that she's big.
Small people .... the ego is big ...... much bigger than that of her body size.
Whatever it is ..... Compared to Datuk Siti .... she's (this Sheila Majid) is totally nowhere. What more compared to Anita Sarawak ...... or even Datuk Sharifah Aini ..... yet our media always making such a bombastard gimmick out of nothing.

After watching thru the whole session of the 'Anugerah Bintang Popular' by Berita Harian at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands yesternight .... how come that 25th anniversary artiste was not around as well? while Datuk Siti (just only 15th anniversary candidate) got the topmost honour with so much that no other artistes can outdo her. See? you're no where man (oooops woman) ....the so-called Datuk Sheila Majid. Ever wonder that small fry Datuk may seems to be much more smaller (shrunk) if she were to be there too. She'll feel out of place no doubt.
That's why I was wondering how come all of a sudden this bloke suddenly started blowing her own trumpet? She was nowhere to be seen before this ........ if only she feels that being idling and let the time just pass by .... year by year and when that 25th anniversary celebration (normally ppl would call 'Silver Jubilee') come by - and that's what she thought .... no matter what .... when that time come (whether active or not ..... alive or not in the music industry) ..... she'll not be left out.
But sad to say .....where all the gathering of our local artistes at the Arena of Stars ....... she was not included ...... she was not there even....nowhere to be seen? nothing to be shown? not even her shadow? Not even her name ever been mentioned in that jolly ocassion.
How come then? when the so-called supposed-to-be 'outstanding' in her jazz-only-number that she used to brag .... as if there're none others seems to know abt jazz music......and she WAS NOT AMONGST THE CROWD of our local artistes - where the 'eagles' gather in the Arena of Stars?
In that matter she's considered OUT. That means she's NOWHERE.
Pity her then.
