BOSTON -- Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid has a sprained neck and will be day to day, coach Claude Julien said on Tuesday. Hockey Prospectus examines the top postseason performances by rookies since 1998. BOSTON -- The Bruins returned home to the TD Garden on Tuesday afternoon feeling loose, having just watched Tim Thomas steal game two some 12 hours earlier, with a 52-save performance to lead an overtime win over Philadelphia. From Elias: Tim Thomas made 52 saves to lead the Bruins to a 3-2 overtime win in Game Two of their series against the Flyers. In the last 35 years only three other NHL goaltenders made 52 or more saves while winning a playoff game that did not go to multiple overtime periods: Montreal's Patrick Roy and Vancouver's Kirk McLean in 1994, and Montreal's Jaroslav Halak in 2010. Extra credit goes to Halak, who made 53 saves in a regulation win against the Capitals.
