Husker Du - Everything Falls Apart

On this date in 1982, Husker Du released their debut studio album, Everything Falls Apart. No singles were released from the album. The Minneapolis, Minnesota band initially gained attention as a hardcore punk band but their music slowed down with time. They disbanded in 1987. The Minneapolis scene also produced The Replacements and The Suburbs, among others.

Lindsay Lohan Dismisses Dating Rumours

Lindsay Lohan has laughed off reports she has a new man in her life - insisting she's just "friends" with her latest rumoured love interest.

The Mean Girls star, who split from her DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson earlier this year (09), has fought off a string of dating rumours in recent weeks after she was linked to Jason Segel, Entourage star Kevin Connolly, and Gerard Butler.

I'm not dating my friend, people are nutso (sic), and it's not a way to start off the new year with rumours.

She was most recently rumoured to be involved with model Adam Senn, but Lohan is adamant she's still single.

Robert Plant wants to spend New Year's Eve (31.12.09) in the arms of a woman.

The 61-year-old rocker - who has famously lived a life of sex, drugs and rock n roll excess - admitted he will be looking for love over the holiday season.

He said: "Where would I like to welcome in the New Year? In some warm, tantalising arms."

Although he is looking forward to celebrating New Year's Eve, the former Led Zeppelin singer isn't looking forward to the next decade because all it holds for him is "more attention to bladder control".

2009 has come to an end. & there's alot to remember for the year 2009!

I had wanted to finish this post before 12 yst. But halfway through it, suddenly my door bell rang, and my maid ran to my room to tell me my friends were outside. EH, 11PLUS LEHH, I WAS ALR DRESSED IN PJs LOR! hahahhaha.





So, changed out immediately & went out to find JH & Wilson standing at my door armed with BGL chicken mcnuggets, drinks &chips! soooo, in the end, we spent the night downstairs and in my room, playing cards & etc!. + EAT EAT & EAT. urgh. & currently I'm still having a food party at home :( Mom's idea.





OKAY, SO AS MENTIONED IN ONE OF MY POSTS AWHILE BACK, I SAID THAT 2009 WOULD HAVE LOTS OF STUFF WORTH REMEMBERING.....



SO HERE'S SOME OF THE EVENTS OF 2009 WHICH I CAN REMEMBER! (In no order of sequence)...





1) SHEESHA-ING! did this after school, was a friday night & I still remember buying this black dress cos that day I felt that my clothes was fucking ugly. Before that, was alr quarelling w Terry & Sheeshaing made things worst. " Its worst than cigarettes #$&*@&&*(#*)@..." niam niam niam.... HAHAHHAA.



& omg, look at JH's face & his hair! NOW HE LOOKS SO MUCH older! okay, not that he's very young alr, when I turn his age, I'll alr have a kid luh...tsktsk.. HAHAHAHAH! HE CFM KILL ME!





2) STOPPED PHOTOSHOOTS. urgh, Terry doesnt approve of my photoshoots:( but, I did more events etc etc.



a. Appeared in one of the diploma's brochure! Hehh Hehhh, My mum event went to get it laminated!







b. Found myself on the school's glass panel after Jared told me to go seee. HAHAHAHA. yesyes, sadly, with the Jimmy Neutron hair they did for me.

3) FLEW TO PARIS ALONE WITH LIL COUSIN. whooo, felt damn independent & proud of my excellent knowledge about airport/airplane C/I procedures, gates & information etc! (HAHAHA. WON'T BE HUMBLE & WON'T DENY EITHER!)



Hated being in Paris though cos of my Bird/ Pigeon phobia. My life's governed by pigeons, & its kinda sad actually. CRYING UNDER THE EIFFEL TOWER, god, its fucking embarrassing.





4) CELEBRATED MY 18th FINALLY! whoo, had been waiting for a mega long time to be legal! (& Now that I am, Its nth differnt actually, just a leveled-up IC!) + Major 2 hr pukefest ( Totally learnt how much it sucked to drink till you puke.)

7) HANGED OUT AT NIGHT+ TON MORE FREQUENTLY! okay, this makes me age, grow i-bags, grow fat etc. But night breeze and all's good!



8) DID BROWS EMBROIDERY! IGNORE ELAINE'S OBSTRUCTING FACE COS SHE SUCKS LAH!:P



9) FINISHED MY OP! YAY! successful dry palms despite the complications. Woohooo, so unlike Wewwson!

On this date in 1982, The Belle Stars released their sixth single, "Sign Of The Times". It was backed by "Madness". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #3 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London all-girl new wave band formed when The Bodysnatchers disbanded. Sarah Jane Owen, Stella Barker, Penny Leyton and Miranda Joyce were The Bodysnatchers who formed the new band. The Belle Stars disbanded in 1986 after one album. They have occasionally reunited to perform.

The Three O'Clock - Baroque Hoedown

On this date in 1982, The Three O'Clock released their debut EP, Baroque Hoedown. It was a five song record that contained "With A Cantaloupe Girlfriend", "I Go Wild", "Marjorie Tells Me", "Sorry" and "As Real As Real". No singles were released from the EP. The band began life as The Salvation Army and released a record under that name but was forced to change their name by the real Salvation Army. The Los Angeles power pop band lasted until 1988. Their Salvation Army debut album was later re-released under the name Befour Three O'Clock and retitled Happen Happened.

On this date in 1980, Department S released their debut single, "Is Vic There?". It was backed by "Solid Gold Easy Action" in the U.K. The single was released in 1981 in the U.S. with a different B side, "Put All The Crosses In The Right Boxes". The single reached the #22 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London new wave band, during its short lived career released three singles and no albums until a 2003 compilation, Sub-Stance, was released. The department was closed in 1981. They released new material in 2007 without, of course, lead singer Vaughan Toulouse who died in 1991 of complications from AIDS.

198 Seconds Of The Dils

On this date in 1977, The Dils released their second single. They called it 198 Seconds Of The Dils. The A side was "Class War". The B side was "Mr. Big". The Carlsbad, California punk band was led by brothers Tony and Chip Kinman and a number of different drummers. They were extremely influential on the Los Angeles punk scene. While neither song appeared on an album by their breakup in 1980, the songs have appeared on a couple of Dils compilations since then. Brothers Chip and Tony Kinman went on to form cowpunk band Rank & File.

Rihanna asked to dress conservatively for New Year bash

Singer Rihanna is upset as she won't be able to do her usual raunchy stage show in Abu Dhabi on New Year's Eve because the organisers have told her to dress "conservatively".

"Rihanna is tearing her hair out over what to do. She wanted to put on her most eccentric and provocative show here. A huge part of her show is her sexy stage gear.

"But the dress code in Abu Dhabi does not encourage excessively revealing outfits," contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying.

Now Rihanna, 21, and her team are busy devising a new show complete with modest outfits which don't show off too much of her body and won't offend audiences in conservative Abu Dhabi.

Lindsay Lohan has a new boyfriend

God, do we have to do this after time? “Lindsay is definitely starting to turn to him when things get bad.” Because they’ve been dating for what? A week? And Adam Senn has already become a bit player in Lindsay’s drama. Yeah, I bet he lasts.

By the way, Dina Lohan wants everyone to know that after Lindsay’s whirlwind trip to India - in which she took credit for saving the lives of 40 children and was called out for her lies - Lindsay is now “a changed woman.” Dina told Page Six that Lindsay was “humbled and moved” by the trip and that “Lindsay definitely wants to give more back. We are now planning a trip to help the children of Guatemala — which will be filmed by Oprah’s network.” For f-ck’s sake. Not Central America! That’s where the drugs come from!

Just hours after the hearing - it was reported that Dina is demanding $40,000 in child support, while Michael claimed Sunday that it’s only $15,000 - spies say Lindsay showed up at her sister Ali’s 16th birthday party at Abe & Arthur’s with Senn, whom we reported she was dating on Dec. 10.

And while her, err, doting parents can’t agree on much, they both seem to think that Adam is a winner.

Indeed, Lindsay has publicly dismissed her dead-beat-dad, but an insider claims that his absence is still hard on the troubled starlet.

“Everything that’s gone on between Lindsay and her dad has really taken a toll on her,” the source confides, adding that “Adam is the one really positive thing going on in her life.”

The snitch also claims that Senn and Lohan were texting and calling each other over the holiday weekend - and are certainly acting more serious than “just friends,” which LiLo has claimed via her Twitter page.
