Its hard to tell your mind to stop loving someone if your heart still does.

I went for first rehearsal ystr.
woke up late+took my own sweet time+ refused to take dad's car.
So i rushed down to aljunied to meet bestfriend& cabbed down to the studio.
they gave me the wrong address, & the cabby was going round& round trying to find the studio.
^&(&*(()v$#^T$&T$*&()#)#_+@@@@$%&,
bestfriend sent me up, & then left.
by then, i was alr 15-20 minutes late. BUT i wasnt the lattest(:

The guys were still practicising their parts, so in the end, i still had to wait.
My round has 4 models in total.
& omg, the route is like so &^*&#*&($)$)$ confusing i tell you.

TADAAA. of course, the width isnt so thick.
& on that day itself, the runway will be longer.

This is the runway, roughly, about there lah.
At stage A , there'll be 4 models.
So i'll walk from 1, Pose, to 2, pose, then cut over to 3, pose , and back to 4, pose
& so on...
& bear in mind,
when i'm walking,
the other 3 models will be walking too.
so there're like 2 directions on that thin stage B.

& then there's the second part which is slighly easier:

I'll be walking as shown by the arrows. & at the same time,
another model will be crossing paths with me, and moving to the black cirlces.
Again, 4 models on the runway.

So you see how &#($($(%&#^@ it is?
you'll have to think abt the path, the pose,
maintain a distance from the model infront & also not to bang onto the other model.
Oh & give respect to the audiences by having some eye contact.
STRESSFUL EH?
not as easy as what you see on teevee.
& all these are only for like 5-10 minutes,
after all that countless rehearsals, blisters, pain on your foot!!!!

For the guys, its so much easier.
No heels, easier to walk/pose,
no need to care if your hair covers your vision when you walk & etc etc.

So all in all ystr,
i spent about 4 hrs there.
Full dressed rehearsal agn next week.
HAIYAAAA.
stress stress stress.
plus, the choreographer isnt that nice also :(

so after the rehearsal, met bestfriend somewhere near the studio.
& had beancurd.
HAHAHAHA.
cos the bus took so long to come!
then we went to Kallang
& his Daddy picked us up.
Went to DempsyRoad's LongBeach to eat with his family

ALWAYS MAKE ME GO FOR THIS KIND OF THING ONE LEH.
DAMN AWKWARD YOU KNOW!!!

ohh, & i know why bestfriend's so <- -> ( HAHAH!) ,
cos whole day eat this kind of food!
not longbeach, then Jack's place right!
become like that <------- ------>, then you know.
lols.
hahahahaha.

so after dinner,
his Daddy sent me home.
Hahahahaa,
that's why i reached home superr early.
even before 9.
HEHH.

Its now 2.22 PM.
& i've got so much time to blog because i didnt go to school tday(:
hahaha,
& Shu called me this morning thinking that i was in school.
& just nice, at that P.O.T,
i was dreaming, and she was in it too.
hahaha.
so after putting down the phone,
i continued the dream.
LOLS.
continued dreams after being disturbed, are hard to come by okay!
hahahahahs.

Okeydok,
i shall go do my own stuff noww.(:

Did you ever stay in the library til they threw you out?!

I did that yesterday! First we went to the German Theatre (yes honeys- even I attend pieces on a regular basis!)- to see a MASTERpiece written by Nikolay Gogol called "The Revisor"( Reflecting the absurd situation of Russia's society -not only in his times but it's deffo up-to-date). Afterwards we went to the library- you know- I do not wanna boast around much- but here in Gottinga we have a huge - one of the biggest- libraries..Simply perfect...anyways it was as good as deserted (I do not know what else to expect on a Friday eve- it was much over 22 p.m).. on our way there we met Said (his friend from Hannover) . We stayed in the library til 1 a.m-til they told us to get our assets out ;)- and I tell you- it was fierce- you gotta try THAT out. This was/ is one of the coolest aspects about studying here- going to the library on a Friday night, when it's dark and study there- man this is the new pastime within from now on! We have anyways a new genious plan : study in the library til 1 a.m than go clubbing (Savoy is very close) and than back again- to study :). Gorgeous
Footie final drawing nearer and nearer..if the Spaniards want to have a friend in me they gotta upstage the Germans- otherwise I am gonna boycott Spanish products/ Spain / even Rafa Nadal ;-).

Okay gotta finish my laundry, take the dishes downstairs and do something about my trashcan..
Buss buss busssssiiii

P.S MARAT is in the fourth round of Wimbledon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

makers, keepers

On my morning commute the past week I've been reading the Tangent's latest issue of its journal on "The Makers and Keepers of History".

The short essays by historians and researchers describing their experiences of trying to access documents, archives and memories are humbling. Some are fairly straightforward accounts of the difficulties of getting government agencies to allow access to their files and archives. Most of these experiences have been negative. The descriptions are matter-a-fact, but the reader can sense the frustration or is invited to wonder at the suspicion and the impenetrability of a "no". Others are more personal accounts of interviews, chance encounters and the politics of documenting. These are stories of relationships forged, grown.

Who are the "makers" of history? The larger-than-life politician or the many individuals who collectively lend power or privately shape lives; the government archivist or the historian? And are the makers of history themselves "keepers", a repository or a self-appointed/state-authorised gatekeeper? Where is history indeed situated?

These questions distracted me from the marching feet, anxious glances at the time and bodies trying to stake their space in the cabins of the morning train. Besides, there have other makers and keepers I encountered the past week -

Another kind of makers

J and I have always lamented the lack of appreciation on this island for craft, for the ability to make things, for work and jobs that cannot be done behind a desk or in a boardroom.

In this month's issue of I.D., sociologist Richard Sennett makes a more eloquent advocacy for connecting the head and hand.

A stranger kind of keepers

In Pa J's house are several canaries, "putehs", a pair of parakeets, a grey parrot, and a fish tank that used to be home to 9 red fishes with fat lips. The birds are still caged up, but after Ma J passed away, the fishes were given away. Instead, the fish tank now houses a 10-inch arowana. One of J's many brothers, the keeper of the birds, had bought the fish to improve Pa J's luck at 4D.

Bro J: How, what do you think of the fish? Can you spot the difference after so many weeks?
Y: er ... yah, it seems to have grown.
Bro J: What else?
Y: Er... it's scales are getting less red now. This kind of fish not supposed to be red, right?
Brok J: [looking slightly worried] Is it? No lah, actually this kind of fish can be red also. You can't see the difference ah?
Y: ... [attempts to look more closely at the trapped creature]
Bro J: Eh, eh, I tell you? [lowers his voice to a whisper] But I tell you, here. Come, don't stand there...
Y: Huh, why?
Bro J: [continues to whisper] the fish is very sensitive one, it is very pan tang (trans: superstitious), so better don't let it hear what we are saying...

J's side of the family never ceases to amaze.

You talking to me?

Starbuck –Wouldn’t You Like It/Maňana

Starbuck –Wouldn’t You Like It/Maňana –Belter 08.363 (1973 Spanish issue)

Brian Engel and Martin Briley camp it up to the max on Wouldn’t You Like It, but the track doesn’t quite reach the ridiculous “heights” of Do You Like Boys or have the sheer class that permeates Heart Throb (check out the April 21st post). This Howard/Blaikley track is not without its own particular charm or duck sound effects for that matter…
Brian: They (Howard/Blaikley) had run out of good ideas and soppy innuendo titles by this time and were resorting to gimmick sound effects ...I honestly remember a duck quack on this single…..but I don’t remember it being released...
Maňana is like DDBM&T covering Rag Doll and plays it more straight in a commercial pop vein. Brian: Maňana was an old Bay City Rollers song (I think we did it either first or round about the same time). Now that was a good pop song…International appeal, a catchy song with a chorus that you could sing but didn’t need to learn…Na na na Na na na na na -if you could remember those lyrics you’d got the song”

Wouldn’t You Like It is probably the 2nd Starbuck single (RCA 2350 in the UK 1973) as Heart Throb on Bradleys came out the following year. It seems that there might even be a fourth single released as Starbuck: “Excerpt From A Skateboard Symphony” on Axle Production which ties in nicely with the later Slick Willie single (see review June 5th)

Thanks to MJ and Brian

all for love

Ah, the school holidays have just ended for the young ones, but it's obvious they've been getting all inspired, declaring their love on the walls with limited rhyme and very neat handwriting.

For me, there's been no drawings, no daydreams, no stories. Most of the time outside of the office (save for the reading on the morning commute), I've been just feeling strangely tired.

Friends, if you are also contemplating a change from corporate serfdom, tym tempts and educates you on being freelance, footloose.

Screw footie ;) Marat beats 'em all!!!!

oMg! OmG! OMG!!!!! You won't believe it ( I have my own difficulties realising that..) but MaratMarat Safin- slaughtered Novak Djokovic in the second round of Wimbledon! Give yourselves THAT! I am so over the moon- or partly- since I heart Djokovic as well..but Marat...well Marat is Marat...
The rest of the draws here . And here is the link to the official Wimbledon homepage!
Oh my! Marat beats Djokovic! :)

Besides Marat already qualified for the third round are : Federer (surprise, surprise..), Hewitt, Baghdatis, Youzhny and Nadal! El Mago Coria did not start :(

Yenilen pehlivan gurese doymaz/ The better team had to go home ...but still what a glorious day ;)

Türkiye lost :( My last hope has vanished and is gone. My Gawd! Why?! They were really much better than se Germans... Oh My! Imagine me saying all these things being amongst Germans.. after the game, that ended 3:2 (= dramatic) we went to "Alpenmax".. it's really a bad club- even worse than Flex in Vienna- but as it goes... Robert, Kai and his friend went with us. Inside the club my hunk ordered a bottle of Prosecco and than we hit the dancefloor to kiss/ dance ... no to kiss only really....and than home.... the night was so long- we fell asleep at five... Saubere Leistung :).

Now I gotta check the Wimbledon draws, news and do something for Uni. I would had to go there only to fetch a book I ordered- but what are men for?!

A tres, tres bientot

RomSem-Party... and I did not have to sing!

Dropped in for a second to a SummerFeast of our RomanFaculty- and to my surprise Filip, Yannick, David , Marcel and even Stefan were there! Chatted a bit with the girls and also Filip (concerning Mister K.) and after a few minutes it turned out, that we won't perform our lovely song this eve :). I was so happy. Went home with Stefan after a few photo-shootings with the others and some funny small-talk.
Now I am freshly showered, done with my Appelsinpiken (for today but haven't finished it) and ready to go to bed- EARLIER...just gotta wait for the other half.

G'night!

Kim Kardashian wants to be a Bond Girl

American socialite Kim Kardashian has revealed that she wants to be a Bond Girl, who is rescued by 007 hottie Daniel Craig. Well known for her social life and sex tape, Kim, who is making her big-screen debut in the spoof Disaster Movie in December, would just love to land a part with the heartthrob and film some steamy scenes.

"I want to be a Bond Girl and film a love scene with Daniel Craig after he's rescued me," the Sun quoted her as saying. "I would be drowning, wearing a bikini with a gun in a sachet, and he would dive in and get me that would be really sexy," she said.

The only thing that would stand in the way of her dream would be her American Football star boyfriend Reggie Bush, who is already not to keen about her posing for Playboy. "Reggie would absolutely hate it," she admitted.

"But I would just say to him, 'Look honey, I've got to do this'," she added.

I am an idiot- part three!

We have Overslept- and only because- and now hold strong- because I forced him to go shopping with me at 10 p.m- and because I forced him to watch some Simpsons Episodes and Kalkofes Mattscheibe (hillarious comedy!!!!!). Oh puh-lease!
I spent so much money yesterday on food- I nearly went nuts! Okay- we share it - all our food anyways- but still! I still need to pay for my upcoming Toefl Exam (my last one's invalid...)- some 130 $... and I want ....! Since we overslept, and I cannot show up at university til 2 p.m I gotta read "Appelsinpiken" ( I gotta finish this damn book til Sunday) and start "Seta" soon...
Buh!
